Hello, I'm Omi.
I'm Omi — a software engineer finishing a CSE degree at North South University in Dhaka.
It started in class seven, when I was adamant about building a Discord bot for my own server. That stubbornness turned into websites, then mobile apps, then systems: an MLFQ scheduler inside an OS kernel, real-time ride-sharing, privacy-first location sharing, and now PBX software at Automata One. I like owning the whole stack — schema to pixel — and I bring an applied-ML toolkit along when a problem calls for it.

Replaced the scheduler in MIT's xv6-riscv with a 3-level MLFQ: 4- and 8-tick round-robin queues, FCFS at the bottom, priority demotion, and a global boost every 100 ticks.

Inference-only N-best rescoring for Bangla speech recognition on a frozen Whisper model. Pipeline on Modal GPUs; MBR rescoring took WER from 34.85% to 32.29% — ~42% of the oracle headroom — and shipped as a video-to-SRT tool.
